About Exam

 The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS), dental courses (BDS), and postgraduate courses (MD / MS) in government or private medical colleges in the country. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in pen and paper mode.


The NEET exam consists of one paper with 180 multiple-choice questions, covering subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology (botany and zoology). The exam is usually held in the month of May.


To be eligible to take the NEET exam, candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as the main subjects. They should also have scored a minimum of 50% marks (40% for candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.


Admissions are based on the scores of NEET examination, and counseling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota seats and by the respective State Counselling for the remaining 85% state quota seats.


It's important to note that NEET has replaced all other Medical Entrance Exams in India, making it a single window examination for all students aspiring to study undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses in India.

Subjects Questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) LanguageThe question paper is asked in 13 languages English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Punjabi 

Marking Scheme 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer.

Negative Marking1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer
